

December 27, 2020 in Katy, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Kaltwasser; daughter,
Sharon Howard; and daughter-in-law, Donna Kaltwasser. She is survived by son, Daryl Kaltwasser ; wife
Gail; daughter, Linda Jozwiak; husband Herbert; son-in-law Charles Howard; wife Jane; and son Jeffrey
Kaltwasser. She has 10 grandchildren: Jennifer Kaltwasser; husband Jon Belteau; Erin Tucker &
husband Jay; Lindsay Hatfield & husband Jim; Lauren Jozwiak; Kimberly Pfeffer; husband David;
Matthew Jozwiak; wife Brittany; Michael Howard; wife Jennifer; Daniel Howard; wife Paula; Madison
Kaltwasser; fiancé Cody Brockenbush; and Tyler Kaltwasser; wife Lucy. She has 14 great-
grandchildren: Josephine; Alexander Belteau; Peyton, Wyatt; Taylor Hatfield; Landon, Joshua; Weston Pfeffer; Warren Jozwiak; Makayla; Myles Howard; and Crawford, Graham; Bennett Howard.
Catherine lived all of her life in Houston and was a longtime member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
She met the love of her life, Ivan, at Bill Mraz Dance Hall. They were married April 4, 1953 and enjoyed
47 years of marriage. She was a homemaker and focused her life on raising her family. Catherine’s
grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She looked forward to attending
their birthday parties and various school or sport activities. In addition, Catherine and Ivan had a love of
polka dancing and spent most of their weekends attending dances. They were members of the Polka
Lovers Klub of America (P.O.L.K. of A.) where they made many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2021 from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral
Home (13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079). Facial masks are required to be worn in the funeral
home.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, January 4, 2021 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church
(625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, TX 77079) followed by private interment. Facial masks are
required to be worn in the church.
