Catherine Stevens Lemm

Catherine graduated from John H. Reagan High School, Houston, Texas, in 1951. She married Edward Eli Lemm, Jr. on July 13, 1951, and they were married for 63 years. Edward passed on January 4, 2015.

Catherine was a homemaker deluxe. Her passion and her heart were for her family, and she prayed for us all daily. She loved the beauties of nature, and was a gifted organic gardener who also grew the most gorgeous flowers. She enjoyed traveling, and loved seeing and learning about new things. She was a valued source of wisdom to her family and a rock of stability in our world. She was generous, kind, funny, and loving. We will miss her dearly!

Catherine was a devoted and trusting servant of God and was a long-time member of Hidden Valley Church of Christ in Houston, Texas.

Catherine is survived by her 6 children and spouses: Edward Eli Lemm III (Teri), Steven Wayne Lemm (Carolyn), Cathleen Elaine Lemm Allred (Charles), David Glenn Lemm, Mark Alan Lemm (Cara), Daniel Philip Lemm (Heather). She is also survived by 15 precious grandchildren and 18 precious great grandchildren. Also surviving her are her sisters: Anna Virginia Burwell Jones of Dayton, TX, Jean Marie Kantu (Rudy) of Prescott Valley, AZ, Nancy Fuller (Larry) of Austin, TX.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Catherine’s life will take place at a future date.
