Cathy Vu Khong

May 21, 1976

Cathy had the most kind and gentle soul who loved deeply and cared wholeheartedly for her family and friends. She entered eternal life peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, after her courageous battle with breast cancer. She touched every heart with her spirit. We celebrate her life, honoring the beautiful moments we shared and the love we are so honored to have received from her.

Cathy loved creating a beautiful home for her husband and children. She loved cooking, listening to music, singing karaoke, watching movies, and spending time with her family and beloved dog, Sylvia. She dedicated her life to making her family happy. Even in the midst of her brave battle, she still gave us her warm smile and found joy in the small moments and inspired everyone around her with her remarkable resilience.

Cathy was preceded in death by her sister, Karen; grandparents, Khong Trung Cong and Hoang Thi Thuoc; grandfather, Vu Van Toa; aunts, Linh, Hop, and Tuyet; cousins, Van, Josie and Emily.

Cathy is survived by her parents, Phuong and Ngoc-Lan Khong; parents-in-law, On Thanh Vo and Kieu Thi Lu; husband, Steve; children, Kristen, Kyle and Kaleb; sisters, Lani and Vivian; brother-in-law, Chris; nephew, Liam; grandmother, Be Nguyen; and many sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins and grand cousins.

As we say goodbye, let us carry forward Cathy’s kind spirit, her warm smile, and the love that defined her every moment. May her memory continue to inspire us and bring comfort during our time of sorrow. Today, while our hearts are heavy with loss, we are uplifted by the promise that Cathy is at peace, forever part of the light that shines in our lives.

Requiem mass will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church at 705 St. Theresa Blvd., Sugar Land, Texas 77498 on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Following mass, the burial ceremony will be at Forest Park Southwest Cemetery at 9040 FM 359 Rd., Richmond, TX 77406.
