Cathy was married to her husband, H. Paul Stenner, Jr. on April 23, 1983. From their union, was born their daughter, Chelsea L. Stenner, on October 24, 1986.
Cathy was well educated as evidenced by her degrees in sociology from Trinity University; business administration from The University of Houston; and her Masters of Public Administration from UT Arlington. She was a long time employee of Lone Star College, Kingwood and retired in 2016. Prior to her education career, she worked at MW Kellogg, Jacobs engineering and DHL. She especially enjoyed helping others and encouraging young people in pursuit of their dreams through education.
Cathy was an avid animal lover, especially dogs & giraffes, as well as an avid beader. She enjoyed traveling in North America and Europe when she could get away with her family.
Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Frank James, Jr. She is survived by her husband Paul and her daughter Chelsea. Surviving family include: her mother, Barbara James, Houston, TX; her siblings, Michael James and wife Karen, Laguna Vista, TX, along with their children Jason, Andy, Brianna and Chase James; her sister Patty James, Houston, TX; her brother and sister-in-laws: Mark Stenner & wife Deb, Boca Raton, FL, Mike Stenner & wife Gina, Phoenix, AZ, and their son Zachary; Carol Baez, Houston, TX; her Aunt & Uncle Bill & Janice James, Oklahoma City, OK; and many other cousins.

A memorial service for Cathy will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 2pm in The Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77024.
