I am heartbroken at the loss of my precious friend Cathy. We have been friends since we met as little girls in Kuwait. Our dads worked for the same company and shortly after we moved to Tehran, Cathy's family moved in next door. Later we were roommates at Trinity University. Honestly I can't remember a time when she wasn't in my life. She was smart, funny, driven, kind, and intellectually curious. She was also strong, courageous and full of grace…especially during this last very difficult chapter of her life. To say she was a hard worker would be an understatement. She was thoroughly devoted to whatever she took on. Paul and Chelsea were absolutely the light of her life. She could not have been prouder of them or loved them more deeply. God, thank you, thank you, thank you for Cathy! I was blessed to have a friend like her for as long as I had her. I will miss her for the rest of my days.

Cathy was my boss, I worked in the business office downstairs. She was a remarkable lady, sweet, kind, and above all very understanding. She was always there to help you in anyway she could. She always put others first, because she cared about her employees. I will miss her, but I know she is up in the heavens with our good friend Jay Whately!
My condolences to her family.

Cathy was not only a colleague, but she was a dear friend. She was the best boss you could ever have and once she retired, she was such a loving friend. She was there for me through the tough times and the best of times. She was always there for me, even when she wasn't feeling her best. I look around and see so many things that remind me of you. I am just so grateful that I had Cathy in my life and she will be truly missed. She was an amazing lady and I am also so happy she got to meet our sweet Juliet (9 mos old).

The first time I met Cathy was at a DOM's Council meeting when I was just a new DOM from LSC-Montgomery. She was nice, kind, and always had a sense of humor. She congratulated me jokingly of keeping the diversity in the council since I was the only male DOM in the group at that time. Every time I saw her at a work event, she was always fun to talk to, whether it was a personal story or a technical work issue. I will always remember her smiles. Cathy will be sorely missed.

Cathy was my boss at Lone Star College - Kingwood. One of the most intellectual individuals I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She was always so very appreciative and excellent at giving recognition to people who earned it for a job well done. I can honestly say I learned a lot from Cathy in working with her. Cathy saw many things in me that I never saw in myself and always encouraged others to have confidence and determination in the pursuit of their goals. She was also a very kind and humorous soul that I enjoyed many laughs with and she will be missed greatly!

I'd just like to share what a pleasure it was working with Cathy all those years at Lone Star College - Kingwood. We could always count on Cathy to be straightforward, honest, thorough, and supportive. There were no dumb questions, which was a good thing for those of us who had to learn the budgeting ropes from scratch! She was ever the kindest and most patient colleague. Her contributions to the college are still felt to this day. She is missed already!
