Mr. Cedric Clayborne was born September 29, 1958 to Archie Jr. and Annie B. Clayborne in Houston, Texas. He was the baby of 6 siblings. Cedric matriculated through the Houston public schools attending Blackshear, Ryan, and Jack Yates. While at Ryan and Yates he was the quarterback on the football team #12. Cedric was a proud Jack Yates Alumnus of the class of 1978. The 1978 Alumnus class holds dear memories and time spent with Cedric.
He was the proud owner of C&M Mobility where he provided mobile accessories and scooter repair.
In 1998 he was united in holy matrimony September 26, 1998 to Margarita Bell. Cedric had 7 children and 3 stepchildren.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: His loving wife Margarita, his children, Tikeshia Racquel LaVergne, Lakeyshia LaSha Smith (Lamar), Dion Vonsha’ Clayborne, Arva Natasha Thorn, Reginald Jermaine Johnson, Jasmine Renee’ Johnson, Bria Shantell Johnson. 3 Stepchildren Derrick Dwayne Williams, Robert James Bell (Chasity), Marquita Evette McCoy (Mario) 19 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Linda King, Jettie George and Anna Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In 1999 he joined Oliver Chapel Missionary Baptist Church under the Pastoral leadership of Pastor Donzell Archie where he served on the usher board and remained a dedicated member until his death
In the completion of God’s purpose for his life, our Father and his Creator called his name to live with him eternally on May 18, 2021 at 9:01 A.M.
He was preceded in death by his parents Archie Jr. and Annie B. Clayborne; brother, John Dean and sister, Joyce Owens.
