Charlene Kimbrough fell asleep in death on June 28, 2021. She was born on April 9, 1945 in Houston, Texas to parents Eugene Owens and Georgia Mae Belcher. Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Ruby Ann Owens and Elizabeth Ann Mullins; and son, James Edward Kimbrough. She is survived by her husband, Billy Kimbrough; two daughters, Cheryl Ann Villalta and Rhonda Rene Kimbrough; six grandchildren, Jesus Villalta Jr., James Michael Villalta, Summer Nicole Ramirez, Jonathan Taylor Ramirez, Matthew James Ramirez, and Daniel Joshua Ramirez; great granddaughter, Aleah Presley Villalta; and five siblings, Edgar Eugene Owens, Shirley Jean Andrews, George Edward Owens, Ben Arnold Owens, and Paula Ruth Owens.
Charlene was a devoted wife, mother, and nana. After retiring from Exxon after 33 years, she began volunteering full-time as a pioneer, spreading the word of Jehovah with her brothers and sisters. She enjoyed traveling with her friends and family and volunteering with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and the RBC. Some of her travels included attending the International Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Budapest, Hungary, the Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Warwick, New York as well as vacationing in Destin, Florida, the Great Smoky Mountains, and many more. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
The family will receive visitation on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and a funeral service on July 8, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039, followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
