

He graduated from High School in 1948 and served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955.
He met his wife, Sharon, at a swimming pool on the University of Houston Downtown campus and was married on July 13, 1958. He graduated from University of Houston in 1963 with a bachelor’s degree.
Started his career at Weingarten Inc, a grocery chain as Distribution Manager as was with them for 34 years when they were sold off. He then moved to Eckerd Drugs as a VP of Distribution. He retired from there in 1998 and Eckerd was eventually sold to CVS in 2004.
His hobbies were playing golf, watching golf on TV, and poker nights when younger later on became interested in stock trading and writing family and political articles on Substack. He had one son, Kirk, and was beyond proud of his only granddaughter, Sydney.
He is preceded in death by his wife Sharon in 2024.
Visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, Family Chapel, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, US, on June 30, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at Brookside Funeral Home, Family Chapel, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, US, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A Committal Service will take place at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, US, on June 30, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
