Charles Frederick Smith

Charles Frederick "Chuck" Smith was born on December 23, 1965 and passed from this life on July 26, 2013. Chuck grew up in San Antonio and attended Alamo Heights schools. Chuck later moved to Houston where he was involved in a successful small business for many years. Chuck was a loving son, brother and friend. He lived life to the fullest taking advantage of each day. Chuck was full of life and loved his family and friends dearly. Chuck cherished family gatherings and you could always count on him to provide his own form of entertainment. Chuck could bring a smile to your face in an instant. He was funny, charming and generous to a fault. He enjoyed race cars and motorcycles. Chuck loved the finer things in life and shared those things with the ones he loved. He made us laugh, cry and we will miss him dearly. Our lives are forever richer for having had Chuck in them.

Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Joe Smith. Chuck leaves behind his Mom and Dad, Fran and John Strength of Port Aransas, Texas, brother Joe Smith and wife Dorothy of Daphne Alabama, brother Jim Smith and wife Bernadette of Houston, sister, Ellen Gillaspie and husband Dwayne of San Antonio, sister Meg Bennett and fiancé Mike Britton of San Antonio, his nieces, Julie, Emily and Kristen, and many close cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Although Chuck is no longer here on earth with us, his vibrant spirit will be with us always. Chuck, you were one of a kind and will be missed.

A private family Christian Service was held in Houston. Chuck became very spiritual and close to God in his last year of life and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
