Charles Louis Tolbert

Charles Louis Tolbert, 83, went to be with his Heavenly Father on March 4, 2018. He was born April 14, 1934 in Oakdale, Louisiana to Joseph and Lou Bency Tolbert. Charles served our country for four years in the U.S. Army. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, gardening and watching sports.

Left to cherish his memories are: wife Rosa Tolbert; daughter Debra Ann Tolbert; grandchildren Joshua Lee Tolbert, Shae-lynn Marie Kelly; great-grandchild Joshua Lee Tolbert, Michael Lee Robinson; siblings: Mary Yuen, Myrtle Lee, and Orean & Johnny Jones. Charles was preceded in death by mother Lou Bency Hall, brother William Lee Tolbert; wife and mother of their children Naomi Ruth Tolbert, wife Anita de Cortez-Tolbert; children: Stacey Louis Tolbert, Tracey Lee Tolbert, Michael Edward Kelly.

Family will receive family and friends for visitation on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Funeral will be on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. in the Grand Chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with the interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
