She was born March 12, 1937 in Akron, Ohio to Eldon M. and Mildred Davis Goings. She is preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Gene and Larry Goings; and daughter, Jennifer Adkins.
She is survived by: children, Mark E. Adkins and wife, Donna Hunt Adkins, Stephanie R. Adkins, and Richard V. Adkins, Jr.; grandchildren, Alexandra and Virginia Adkins; cousin, Delores Looper; close friend, Mona Rae White; and ex-husband, Richard V. Adkins.
Charlotte attended Milby High School, and was awarded Best Citywide actress in Houston. She was runner-up Miss Houston. She was a Starlet in New York City featured with Jimmy Stewart, Vic Damone, John Wayne and on the Today Show with Audie Murphy. She was a past member of the Delphian Society, volunteer for Hike and Bike trails among many other achievements.
She will be missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday, November 1st at Forest Park Westheimer. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 2nd in the funeral home chapel with internment to follow in the cemetery.
