Charlotte Ann Johnson

December 26, 1960, to the union of Charles Johnson and Viola Rideau,

at St. Monica Catholic Church of Eunice, Louisiana. She was baptized

at Our Mother of Mercy in Church Point, Louisiana.

Charlotte was a proud 1979 graduate of Basile High School. Charlotte

joined the Army, and later became part of Evangeline Parish School.

She was very good with children. Due to unforeseen circumstances,

she retired from the school. Never once did she let anything stop her

from living her best life.

Charlotte was a loving sister and confidant. She knew how to light up

the room when she walked in. Even more so, she knew how to make

you get up and dance. There was never a dull moment. She loved to

be around her siblings, nieces, nephews, her son, daughter, grand-

children, and daughter-in-law. Even when she had a bad day, she

didn’t complain, she made the best of it. Whether she got a call or visit,

she made every second of it count. She was such a joy to be around.

Charlotte wedded Cedric Bowser, and she gave birth to her son,

Jeremy Bowser. Jeremy meant the world to her. She and Jeremy

were mother and son, and friends. There is nothing she wouldn’t do

or sacrifice for him. The love she showed for her son was always

unconditional.

On Friday, January 17, 2025, God called beloved angel, Charlotte,

home to be held in his loving arms.

Charlotte’s memories will forever be cherished by her son,

Jeremy Bowser (Celeste Alfred), Houston, TX, two daughters,

Carla Ann Guillory, Houston, TX; Michelle Guillory, Elton, Louisiana;

10 grandchildren, Caileigh and Evan Bowser, Aiden Butler, Eddison

Alfred, Aria Alfred, Symeon Hunter, Jr., Drew Poullard, Gia Livings,

Bryce Robinson, Darnell Robinson, Kiana Cortez; 3 Godchildren

Trina Alfred, Celsey Sanburg, Brittany Drummond; one brother,

Zachary Johnson (Cecelia Johnson), one sister, Amy Jones, one

brother-in-law, Michael Jones; two aunts, Joann Broussard, Wilda Ore-

bo, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Charles and Viola

Johnson; six siblings, Vindetta Marie, Violet Ramona, Violet Mae,

John Johnson, Charles Johnson, Jr., Alberta Frank; maternal

grandmother Louise Rideau, great grandmother Albertine Papillion,

paternal grandparents Christopher and Amy Johnson; one aunt, Shirley

Ann Rideau Prude; two uncles, Cleve Broussard and Jerry Orebo.
