Charlotte Ann Shemel

Charlotte Ann Shemel, 82, was born on August 24, 1933 and entered into her eternal resting place on April 5, 2016 in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Coldwater High School in Michigan in 1951. She married Richard George Shemel on August 25, 1951. She worked at Gamble Skogmo, Dick Johnson Chevrolet, Diehl Realty, and Shemel’s Carpet and Interiors. She was a member of the American Legion, Eagles, and Branch County Realtor’s Association.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard George Shemel; beloved partner, Steve Hutchens; parents, Clifford and Neva (Linsey) Sherman; sister, Eva Taylor; brother, Gene Sherman; son-in-law, Gordon Mosher Jr.

She is survived by her brother, Clifford Sherman of Sturgis, Michigan; sisters, Sonja Marsh of California; daughter, Patricia Montenegro and husband Patricio of Randolph, Massachusetts; son, Donald Shemel and wife Laura of Coldwater, Michigan; daughter, Janet Hanselman of Houston, Texas (Robert of Lagrange Indiana); daughter, Barbara Mosher Hantz and husband Richard of Coldwater, Michigan; son, Douglas Shemel of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Andrea Shemel, Gregory Shemel, Gordon Mosher III, Michael Mosher (Jessica), Joshua Hanselman (Diana), Adylyn Hanselman & Fiancé Mathew Palmer; great-grandchildren, Jaxon & Lily Mosher (Gordon Mosher III), Skyler, Braiden & Hayleigh Mosher (Michael & Jessica), Lyanna & Daemon Hanselman (Joshua & Diana); along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, May 27,2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Oak Grove Cemetery, 809 W. Chicago St., Coldwater, Michigan 49036

Luncheon to follow at the American Legion Post #52, 84 W. Chicago St., Coldwater, Michigan 49036

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 12:00 N at East Point Community Church, 25 N. Michigan Ave., Coldwater, Michigan 49036

Visitation with family will be held prior to service time from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 N. Pastor Mike Fronczak will be officiating. Luncheon to follow.
