Charlotte Lee Thompson, 91, of Houston, Texas entered into rest July 26, 2018. She was born in Dallas, Texas on August 31, 1926 to parents Foram Louis and Margaret Rose Chandler. Charlotte graduated from Reagan High School and later attended Durham Business College. She was married to Edwin A. Thompson for many loving years. Charlotte had a career as a secretary for the Houston Chronicle and numerous other businesses. Later in life, she drove a school bus for the Seventh-day Adventist School. She was a member of the Houston International Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Charlotte is survived by her children; Clyde Caskey Jr. and wife Sherry, Robert Caskey and wife Sandra, Edwin Thompson Jr., and Margaret Murray; grandchildren; Brian Caskey and wife Shelly, Christine Gubler, Kristina Caskey, Katrina Kidder, Jack Murray Jr., Chandler Murray; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Edwin A. Thompson, and grandchildren; Elizabeth Gilbreath, Norman Caskey, and Clyde Caskey III.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with a funeral service held Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 12:00pm at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038, with a committal service to follow at 1:00pm at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038.
