May the Lord Bless you and Keep you and the Family.
Once again,
Curtis and Belinda Parker

This began with a story I was telling my wife Belinda K.. Knowing Cheryl since Junior High watching this Dear Lady in cheer leading, the kindness she would show in classes we had together, the hallway hellos, "Hey Cheryl!, Hey Curtis!" Cheryl was Blessed. This is the person I knew. So many attributes.
Yes, it has been many years now. I wanted to let the family know the caring thoughts I have of this Precious one.
Curtis Parker '71

I noticed a huge circular light flash with yellow to orange like emotional telepathy in the sky in the beginning of 2013 (my birthday is Nov. 19 1979) while I was working with the military and the bright spirit or orb (it looked like a lifeform that was non human, but a light being and immediately the only person that communicated super sweet and simple intelligent and powerful is Cheryl Burke (the only person I have ever met with that soul or communication style like that, the sweetest mom and she is family to me as well as the rest of the family. Meredith, please call me whenever you get a chance (972) 278-5763 and I'll take you guys out to get a beer and some food. Tell your sis and Dad I love them and miss them I think I got to talk to your mom after she passed, but she was a light being. You guys are family so any one in the family please call me when you get a chance, thank you and she cooked the best spaghetti on this planet.

Burke family, I just heard of the passing of Cheryl. I had the priveledge of working with her on the WREB here in Houston several years. I enjoyed working with her, she ALWAYS had a smile - her beautiful smile, and she was always laughing - her laughter was unforgettable. I know it is a tremendous loss for all of you. I will keep you all in my thoughts and especially in my prayers. Anita Rodriguez

What joy Cheryl brought to all of us. I had the privilege of knowing her in high school and also visiting with her every time I saw the dentist for the past 20 years. She is sorely missed. Sherrill (wife) and I pray that God will continue to comfort Tommy and family.

Cheryl left us too soon but her memory will continue to live on in all of us. Her contributions and dedication to WREB were greatly appreciated and I will miss her smiling face and wonderful sense of humor.

Jackie and I had lot's of fun times with Tommy and Cheryl. We enjoyed floating down the Guadalupe River, backyard BBQ's, and getting together with mutual friends. She will always be in our memories. Tommy and daughters are in my prayers.

Mr Burke, Meredith and Amanda I am deeply saddened to hear about Mrs Burke. She was such a sweet and happy person. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Cheryl was a delightful, talented, humorous and beautiful person. I was lucky to have known and worked with her on WREB. She will be missed. We send our thoughts and prayers to her family. :Lynda Ciri Washington State

I grew up with Meredith and have many many great memories of Cheryl...She was always so happy and a joy to be around. I actually enjoyed going to get my teeth cleaned growing up because I would get to see her...My heart and prayers go out to the Burke family..I am truly sorry and sad to hear of her passing. May you find comfort in God during this time.

Dearest Burke Family and Friends,
I graduated from TWU DH School and one of my instructor highly encouraged me to Member ADHA and to meet the Houston Hygiene Society Members. I heeded her advise and met those Houston Movers and Shakers including Cheryl. Her legacy in my eyes began with TDHA HOD,BOD, workshops, luncheons and dinners all to better our profession and protect the public's oral health and safety. Fond memories when we would gather at the State Capitol to enhance our Legislators education on oral health issues agenda items. Upon reading her guest book a common thread has been woven with expressions of love, joy, and laughter and I whole heartily agree. Brita made reference to a shining star and I do believe I saw a brighter shining star last night in the heavenly skies. Saint Peter get ready for Cheryl Burke to shake things up. Thank you all for sharing Cheryl.

Cheryl was a beautiful person. We appreciate the times we were able to spend with her and Tommy on our visits to Houston. She always brought light and life to the room when she walked through the door. Our prayers are with her family.

Cheryl was without a doubt gifted with that wonderful sense of humor that helped our dental hygiene class manage to graduate in 1973. I speak for all of us when I say we loved her dearly. We are praying for her family and close friends at this time.

I was just looking at Cheryl's beautiful face in my wedding book and thinking about all of the "good times" we had together years ago. Ross and I are so very sorry to hear of her passing. Our prayers are with you and your family.

My condolences to Cheryl's family. I loved her ready smile and her sense of humor. She inspired me to be confident because she exude so much confidence that it was contagious. I have missed her at TDHA Annual Session the last few years. I will always remember her because of her leadership and because she always had it together. My prayers and love are with the family as well as her good friend, Betty. I know she has left a void and will be deeply missed by all who loved her and knew her. Ester Ball

Sending you thoughts of peace during your time of sorrow. May the beauty of her precious memories be your comfort.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Mr. Burke, Meredith and Amanda,
I love your Mom and family! From the great New Braunfels memories, to learning about A&M through your family, and the delicious meatballs she always made on Halloween…. Your Mom included me along with you family as if I were her own daughter in elementary school, and I always looked up to her. She could light up a room with her smile! I am so sorry for your loss; you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Much love ~ Christy

Cheryl was an inspiration to us all in Dental Hygiene. She was always available to give advice when asked. She loved God, her family, friends and dental hygiene. Her smile was contagious, you smile everytime you think of her.May she be rejoicing in heaven as everyone will be celebrating her live here also.
You will be missed Cheryl.

Cheryl was my WREB pal. Her work as Team Captain was excellent but nothing excelled her funniness. I can still see her dancing in the hallways, me laughing uncontrollably behind her. Peace, prayers and blessings to all the Burkes. Hold tight to those memories.

Cheryl was always one of our favorite people. Her smile and humor could light up a room. There is a huge hole left on earth, but heaven is surely brighter....
Praying for her family, Dave and Tara Dorroh

Cheryl was a kind, sweet, wonderful woman with a beautiful soul. I had the blessing of sitting in her dental chair for 15 years and knew just how proud of, and how much she loved her entire family. I always looked forward to our visits every year. I wish you all God's peace during this time of sorrow. May you find comfort until you see her again in God's presence. With love and respect, Lisa Kelly

I am so sorry to hear about Cheryl. I will never forget her smile.

Dear Tommy, and family,

tommy so sorry for your loss.i cannot imagine how you feel.she was truly one of the nicest people i have ever met.I pray god gives you and your family comfort during this time.

I am so sad to learn of Cheryl's illness and passing. My heart aches for Tommy, her girls, and Linda. Years ago when the girls were young, Linda and I would often find ourselves at Cheryl's kitchen table at the end of the work day. No matter that she had a family hoping for dinner and a husband heading home - We simply arrived, sat, and took in Cheryl's gentle kindness and infectious joy. She was a gift. May God grant her peace and her family comfort.
Zana Bean Gorman, Houston

Tommy, it has been many years since i have seen or spoken with you , but i have never forgotten you and Cheryl from your football days at Texas A&M. I remember clearly your love for her and i pray God's blessings and comfort for you and your family.

I worked with Cheryl during my time at WREB and she was not only a true professional but so much dang fun at the exams!!

My thoughts and prayers are with all her family as you go on without her presence but I am sure with tremendous memories.

My sisters and I seemed to grow up on the Comal river. We laughed with Cheryl and Linda and Hilda and also, it seemed, with everyone they loved. Cheryl was someone I greatly adored. Tommy, I am so sorry for your loss. Cheryl is a symphony in my heart. I am so glad I know I will see her again, in a place so wonderful.
Much Love,

Dear Tommy,
I am so terribly sad to hear the news of Cheryl's death. As you know we were best friends in junior high and on into high school. I have great memories, if you remember, I introduced you to her. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. What an amazing angel Heaven received.
Much love,
Becky (Merchant) Hunter

Cheryl was a beautiful and special person. Even though I did not know her family, I felt like I did, because her life was her husband and beautiful daughters. I was fortunate enough to be active in the Texas Dental Hygienists' Association with Cheryl. She and her long time friend Betty installed me as TDHA President 19 years ago. During that year, I had my first born son who ironically is a freshman at none other than Texas A&M. We had many things in common and I have missed her these last few years. I am so very sorry for life being cut short, however, God always needs the perfect rose and he must have needed another. May God Bless and Be with this family.
There is today a shining star in heaven that will look down and be with you each and every day.

Dearest Burke Family,
Cherly has a very special place in my heart!! She and Linda were childhood friends.....our parents seemed to be together all the time....having fun...playing golf at Texaco while we swam all day in the pool and taking annual trips to New Braunsfels, Texas...we were all like one big extended family!! And I loved having them as "my family"!!!! Such incredible memories! Cheryl parents were amazing!! Hilda....aka...Big Mama to me and Ross...aka...Big Daddy to me....were amazing people! Their wit and charm and love is what made Cheryl and Linda such beautiful people as well. Most of our parents are gone now.....and time and miles has kept us from being so close in the last few years but those wonderful memories will always be there!!! Ones that I will cherish forever!!
I wish that I could be there....to give everyone hugs and sit around and "remember when" with everyone!! Just laughing and crying at the same time!! Please know that I am there, keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers and sending lots of LOVE!!
God Bless You All and may He give you comfort knowing that Cheryl is at Peace now and Up in Heaven with some very special people!
Love.....Donna (Bailey) Johnson

I always remember Cheryl as such a happy and beautiful person- Our thoughts and prayers are with you Tommy and family.

My great friend during Jr. and Sr. High years. She kept us all laughing and always had such a beautiful smile that lit up any room. My prayers are with you Tommy and your family.

Cheryl was my friend and no one else's. At least that's how she made me feel even though she was the best friend to all her friends because she had so much love to go around. She was and still is an angel sitting on everyone's shoulder.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Burke family. Cheryl was always a sparkle of sunshine.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss and would like to offer my sincere condolences to your family. It is my prayer that the God of all comfort be with you as you grieve. Ps 37:39 mentions that God is a fortress during our time of distress.

I have known Cheryl since she was very young as my brother and her sister were good friends. I am so very happy that we stayed in contact all these years. She was a sweet, funny, kind, loving person. I will remember the wonderful holiday dinners we had with her and our family. She will always be in my heart. Tommy my thoughts are with you and the girls. God Bless.

Cheryl was a beautiful experience in my life. I consider myself privileged to have known her. Her exquisite smile always made me feel welcome.

I worked with Cheryl at WREB exams for many years. I always was so glad when I saw Cheryl on the list as one of the examiners. She had such a wonderful sense of humor and a gift of being able to brighten everyone's day during the long hours at the exam and again afterward when everyone got together for dinner. I miss her presence. I am glad I had a chance to meet her.
Royann Royer Anchorage Alaska

I always loved being assigned to WREB exams with Cheryl because she was such a joy to be around. May she rest in peace. Her family was such loving care givers and may the precious memories soon take the place of the difficulty of caring for her and having to let her go. God be with you all, Glenelle Butler, ABQ, NM
