After bravely battling major health issues, she passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 17,2025 at the age of 73.
Cheryl was born in San Pedro, CA on September 27, 1951. She was a 1969 graduate of Oxnard High School. She worked and retired from Oxnard High School Union District in Oxnard, CA.
Cheryl is survived by her brother Gary Griffith and loving husband Robert Hooper of 41 years, and four children Eric Garcia and Resha May, Tom Hooper and Sherry Roberts as well as her eight grandchildren Taylor and Mackenzie May, Sara and Cassandra Garcia, John and Victoria Roberts and Mitchel Hooper and three Great Grandchildren.
She will be placed to rest at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park 5400 Valentine Rd. in Ventura, Ca. 93004.
