Christopher Hunt was born in Houston, Texas, to the union of William Edward Hunt and Mary Lee Trelle-Hunt. He was educated in the North Forest Independent School District and graduated from Forest Brook High School.
After graduation, he began working at the Union Pacific Railroad, starting as a switchman and later becoming an engine mover. He retired after 38 years of service. After retiring, he spent the last 10-15 years mentoring youth in and out of their home.
Chris had a very fulfilling life, spending time with family and friends. Memories of Chris will forever remain in the hearts of his loving wife, Bernarda Johnson-Hunt; son Dannie King (Tomeka); daughter Lacrasha Garrett (Charles); stepchildren Lonnie Johnson (Niccole) and Christele Johnson (Marlon Jackson); siblings Earl Hunt (Lola); sister Katherine (Neil) Hunt; and sister Barbara Hunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and godchildren who loved and adored him.
Christopher Hunt was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Lee Hunt; brother Larry Hunt Sr.; brother John Lewis Hunt; sister Shirley Mae Hunt; and sister Rita Diane Hunt-Robinson.
A Memorial will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039, US, on October 3, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
