

Born in Harlingen, Texas, on the 14th of September 1965, he was raised and educated in Houston. He attended Strake Jesuit College Preparatory and graduated from Marian Christian High School. He received his BBA from The University of Houston, where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He went on to receive an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, a BFA from The University of Texas at Austin, and an MSE from Southwest Texas State University. He was a successful real estate agent for Coldwell Banker.
He is survived by his parents Ronald and Judith Abel-Alexander Thornton; his sister Rhonda Thornton Terracini and her husband Marcos, and sister Alexandra Thornton; and his niece Isabella Terracini. He relished his friendships with Paige Phillips, Terry Sears and Lacy Baird, and was devoted to his Bassett Hound, Jack.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from four o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening on Sunday, the 23rd of January, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where a recitation of the Holy Rosary is to commence at half-past six o’clock, led by Rev. Christopher Nguyen, Parochial Vicar of St. Michael Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass is to be offered at ten o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 24th of January, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road in Houston, where Rev. Christopher Nguyen is to serve as the celebrant.
Immediately following the service, all are invited to greet the family during a reception to be held at a venue announced during the service.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in Christopher’s name be directed to Lone Star Basset Hound Rescue, P. O. Box 2250, Sugar Land, TX, 77487; or to the charity of one’s choice.
