

Chutikarn ‘Emmy’ Davidson of Houston, TX passed away in Houston, TX on Monday morning, February 10, 2014 at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Also, known as ‘Lew’ in the Houston Thai community, she was born in Phayao, Thailand, to the late Pheoy Saejou and the late Jan Chiang Saeterm. She was a long time resident of Phayao in northern Thailand before moving to Bangkok, Thailand for college as a young adult.
Emmy worked her way through college in Bangkok, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Rajabhat Nakhon Pathom University and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Rajabhat Suan Dusit University. In Bangkok, she worked as an accountant at companies such as 7UP Beverage Company and Tristar Enterprises before immigrating to the United States in 2004. In the US, Emmy changed careers and dedicated herself to helping others as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) at Kindred Rehabilitation Hospital in Clear Lake for the last 4 years. Emmy’s faith in God, gentle yet hard-working personality, and quiet strength set her apart from others. She was an active member along with her husband of Tallowood Baptist Church and the New Beginnings Sunday school class.
She is survived by her husband John Kenneth Davidson, Jr. of Houston, Texas and brother-in-law Stephen Wood Davidson of Atlanta, Georgia as well as her step-sons John Kenneth (Jake) Davidson III and William Laughlin (Will) Davidson of Houston. She leaves behind many family members in Thailand as well as her niece Phanumat Young Wadia of Key West, FL and her sister Lai Tungitsarawuthikul, also of Key West, FL. She also leaves behind numerous friends both inside and outside of the Houston Thai community, such as Sert and Saeng Sananikone, as well as many others.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm in the stateroom at Earthman Funeral Directors at Hunters Creek. Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Tallowood Baptist Church, 555 Tallowood Road, Houston, Texas 77024. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Drive, Houston, Texas 77055.
