On February 13th, 1986 in San Antonio, Texas a beautiful baby girl was born to the union of Clarence (deceased October 19th, 2023) and Julia Townsend. Ciatta Tiffany Townsend was the second child born after her sister Mydea. After living in San Antonio for a few years, Clarence and Julia moved to Houston, Texas.
As a young girl, Ciatta always aimed for the stars, particularly when it came to learning and education. She was a straight “A” student and was invited early on into the “Gifted and Talented “ program at her school. While in this program, her vibrant personality made her many life long friends.
They say “it takes a village to raise a child”, and this was especially true with Ciatta. She spent many countless days playing with her cousins and sister under the watchful and loving eyes of grandmother, the late Martha Juah Randall.
Ciatta attended high school at Cy-Springs where she graduated in 2004. After finishing high school, Ciatta had a desire for flying planes and wanted to become a pilot . She attended Tulsa College of Aeronautics and Engineering in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she met her husband Daniel Bradley. On November 29th, 2006 Ciatta gave birth to their son Asa Liem Bradley. After a few years of marriage, the relationship ended and Ciatta moved back to Houston, Texas to be with family and continue raising their son.
Eventually, Ciatta decided to follow in her mother’s foot steps and started her career in nursing as an LVN. Ciatta, recently, completed her Associates Degree in Nursing and was currently studying to take her RN exam. After experimenting with different types of nursing Ciatta settled into travel nursing and was on a contract in Vermont, at the time of her death.
Ciatta was a caring, sweet, social, intelligent, bright young lady. She loved studying and learning about her parent’s home Liberia. Although born and raised in America, Ciatta loved to talk about Liberian politics and was an ANC Analyst who campaigned for Alexander Cummings leading into the 2023 election. During her time of campaigning for ANC, she met several amazing members that became good friends of hers.
She leaves to mourn her son, Asa Bradley, her mother, Julia Townsend, and her sister Mydea Abaneme. Ciatta was a very loving person and had a bubbly personality, which made it very easy to feel comfortable and relaxed when around her. Ciatta was always making jokes and loved to be the life of the party and she shined on the dance floor. Ciatta had a beautiful smile that will be dearly missed. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
