OBITUARY

Cindy Cejda Burge

January 11, 1958October 28, 2019

On October 28, 2019 Cindy entered into a world of mercy and love and a peace we all long for - God’s Kingdom. Cindy was the oldest of three children born to Jim & Cleo Cejda. Two years later came brother Steve, and thirteen years later came little sister Cathi.

The family followed Jim’s pharmaceutical opportunities to many different towns, but Cindy mainly grew up in Montezuma, Spearville, Wamego & Manhattan, KS. Cindy was very social in her early years; twirling, dancing, cheerleading and working at dad’s drug store. After graduating from Wamego High, Cindy stayed in Kansas and the family moved away. Cindy decided to hang her hat in Manhattan, KS.

In 1983 she met her ‘Prince Charming’ Norm; they complemented each other so well and together they raised many fur babies, watched a lot of sports and bled purple! KSU! Cindy had an ingrained intellect; the ability to seek, grasp, and retain knowledge on everything. She loved learning, reading, writing and could debate with anyone, and she was never wrong (even when she was).

The world according to Cindy - did exist for her, and she lived it just as she wanted!

My condolences to the family and may peace find you.

My time with Cindy was during her time in Spearville and high school. She was always smiling. I have memories of her as a cheerleader and serving with her as an officer of our Junior class.

She was only in Spearville for a few years, but the memories are forever.

Condolences to the family and our prayers.
Cindy and her brother Steve were one of the first to welcome us to Spearville when we moved there in 72. That meant a lot and still does.
Again prayers and condolences to the family!
Sincerely,
Jeff Webster

Sending hugs and sympathy to Norm, Steve and family and Cathy and family. Hoping your many great memories with Cindy help you through these tough times.

So many memories of my own with Cindy Lou. She was that friend you didn’t need to see and talk to all the time....but it was just like yesterday when you did. She will be in my heart forever, too.

Norm, Steve, Cathi and family
My heartfelt condolences on the loss of Cindy. I have many memories that I will keep forever in my heart. We were roommates in Wamego for several years. There were many epic moments during that time, with laughs that would go on for days.
