My mom, Cing Ngaih Lian, had seven siblings. She was the daughter of Hau Khan Mang and Cing Man Niang, born on October 28, 1967, in Myanmar. She passed away on December 1, 2024, at 10:45 AM at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born in Myanmar and initially married my brother Joseph's father through a match arranged by her parents. However, their marriage ended in divorce due to disagreements. Later, she married my dad, her current husband, and together they have five children.
My mom loves listening to music, especially gospel music, as she is a strong believer in God. She has always taught us to know God, follow His word, and avoid doing things that displease Him. She values saving money and dislikes it when we spend money unwisely. She has high ambitions for us and wants each of us to become educated and successful.
She lived in Malaysia for seven years before moving to the United States on March 31, 2015. My mom enjoys traveling to different places and shopping for clothes, as she loves staying stylish and beautiful. She is very clean and always encourages us to stay tidy. She dislikes a messy house and insists on keeping everything organized.
Unlike other moms, she treats us with immense love and care, always making us feel like her little children. She has never asked us to cook and shows her love in countless ways. My mom is irreplaceable, and I deeply cherish her.
