

Ciriaco J Balmaceda, Sr. of Houston, Texas passed away on Monday June 24, 2024 at the age of 84. He was born on April 7, 1940 in Nicaragua. Ciriaco came to this country in 1985 and made the American dream a reality with his six children.
He is preceded in death by his parents Nemecio Balmaceda and Ruperta Calero. His siblings Valentin, Aurora, Juan, Julia, Margarita, Alejandro, and Hilda.
He is survived by his wife Myriam Balmaceda who recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on May 30, 2024. Children Alex Balmaceda, Omar and Sayonara Balmaceda, Jorge Balmaceda, Ciriaco Balmaceda, Jr., Myriam and Juan Carlos Carcamo, and Elena and Adam O’Mary. Grandchildren Alex and Jessica Balmaceda, Iris Balmaceda, Dalis Balmaceda, Tais Balmaceda, Yahir Balmaceda, Scarlett Balmaceda, Alexa Balmaceda, Omar Balmaceda, Jr., Aileen Balmaceda, Elian Balmaceda, Eliomar Balmaceda, Jorge Balmaceda Jr., Marylee Balmaceda, Sebastian Balmaceda, Juan Carlos Carcamo Jr., Jacqueline Carcamo, Karina Carcamo, Jasmin and James Jeffery, Jocelyn O’Mary, Jaylin O’Mary and Travis O’Mary. Great-grandchildren Julissa, Natalia, Adam, Alayna, Ava, Aitana, Aliana and Andrew
Ciriaco’s nickname to all loved ones was “Papa.”
Anyone that knew Papa, was aware of his strong faith to the Catholic Church and his unwavering devotion to the blessed Mother of Perpetual Help.
Papa was a loving husband who stood by his wife. Their bond was a testament to enduring love. He loved spending time with family and friends. His presence was a blessing. His warmth, generosity, and genuine care left indelible mark on our hearts. We will forever remember his smile, his stories, and the way he made us feel cherished.
May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love he gave so freely.
