

On August 10th, 1935 Evelyn & James Cook welcomed their first-born son CL Cook I East Texas. CL accepted Christ at an early age and united with Sulpher Spring Baptist Church under the leadership of J.T. Harris. CL was well known as “Rev” to family and friends.
He later united with Mary Clark and became as one and had 5 children. CL worked at Tyson’s Poultry for 12 years. Later he became employed by Boat Manufacturer where he was a devoted employee for over 30 years. He was known for feeding anyone who was hungry, but most of he was a devoted Husband, Loving Dad, and Grandfather.
On December 11th at 1030pm CL took his last breath peacefully at home. He is preceded in death by parents, wife (Mary Cook), brothers, sister, daughter in law (Ursula Cook), and son in law Kelvin.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His loving and devoted five children, Irma Jean Lattin, CL Cook Jr, Johnny Cook, Jerry Cook (Melanie), Donna Jackson (John): Eleven grandchildren, Darrel Wayne (Dalia), Shanterica Cook, LaQuisha Cook, Shauntanell Lindon (Johnathan), Jerry J. (Sharneice), Chaz Cook, Defonte McHenry, Ashli Cook, Jonisia Jackson, Donitria Jackson, Inok Cook; a sister Pearline Barkins, a broter Willie T. Cook; twenty-two great, as well as a host of nephews and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
