Claudean Cruse

March 12, 1935 - March 27, 2019

Claudean Cruse passed away at her home surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 27 after a 13-year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was born March 12, 1935 in Houston, Texas to Claud and Elzada Sammon. Claudean was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Don and Jimmy, and her infant children, Patricia Ann and Don Adams.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Anderson “Frank” Cruse, one sister Kelley Welch and husband John, three children; Anderson Cruse IV and wife JoAnne, Keith Cruse and wife Cherise, and Derissa Jones, and her beloved grandchildren; Jennifer Hardwick and husband Ben, Lindsey Rockhold and husband Michael, Taylor Cruse, Madison Burnett and husband Dustin, Mason Cruse, Anderson Cruse V, Alyssa Jones, and Kayla Jones; and seven great-grandchildren; Caleb, Matthew, Sarah, David, James, William, and Isaac. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Ann Atkinson, special cousin Clarissa Stehlik and numerous nieces and nephews.

Claudean was an active member of her church, the Sunday night small group, The Oasis, and the “Friday” gang. She was cherished by her family and loved by those who had grown to know her over her long and eventful life. She was many things to many people, but above all else, Claudean was a person who was strong in her faith, true to her word and a friend to all.

The funeral service is scheduled for Monday, April 1st at 10:00 am with visitation preceding at 9:00 am. The service and visitation will be held at Crossroads Fellowship church located at 12110 East Sam Houston N, Houston, Texas 77044.
