

Cleatis Aubrey Ryman passed away on January 16th at the age of 89. Cleatis was born to Fred & Blanche Ryman in Wadsworth Texas. He attended Howard Payne University, served in the Army Air Force during WWII, and was the owner of Houston Poultry & Egg Company. Mr. Ryman was a member of Baptist Temple Church for 65 years where he served as a deacon, taught Sunday school, and served as a trustee for the South Texas Children’s Home in Beeville Texas. Mr. Ryman recently joined the loving congregation of Oak Forest Baptist Church. Cleatis was preceded in death by his parents Fred & Blanche Ryman, wife Violet Ryman, wife Lorene Ryman, and son Mark Ryman. He is survived by daughter Janice Ryman, Sisters Marcelle and Marjorie, Brother Roger, 5 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday January 21st at Oak Forest Baptist Church - 1700 W. 43rd Street, Houston Texas. The family will receive visitors at 9:45am followed by an 11:00am funeral service officiated by Reverend James C. Hill and Dr. Richard Walters. Internment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Donations may be made in his honor to the South Texas Children’s home in Beeville Texas.
