Cloggie Lee Wilson, 90 years young, of Houston, Texas, born October 11, 1935, ascended to heaven on May 20, 2026.
She was born in Natchitoches, Louisiana on October 11, 1935, to Nathaniel and Ollie Robinson, who nurtured and cared for their four children. Cloggie relocated to Houston, Texas with her husband, where she raised her five children. She was employed at Congregation Beth Yeshurun for over 40 years. She was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
Cloggie met the greatest love of their life, Jim Lee Wilson Alexander in 1954. Eager to start their new lives together, the two were married in 1955 and moved to Houston, Texas.
Jim Lee and Cloggie Lee Wilson were eager to start a family of their own, and their children meant the world to them. GRANDCHILDREN: Cloggie’s favorite role was being a mother and grandparent. She treasured their time with their grandkids and loved being their “Granny and Big Granny”, never failing to teach, give wisdom or hug and love all of them. Benson, Jacquingamen “Baby Boy” Alexander, Horace Watson Jr., Ye’Vachae Haynes, Jocelyn Wilson, Ri ’Charra Derry, Danielle Robinson, Tristen Tippins, Jala Wilson, John Wilson Jr., Kaydance Benson, Shaniece Wilson, Krisa Wilson, Jamarcus Wilson, Mya Jones, Brayden Jones, Rylee Wilson, Keldrin Alexander, Kensley Alexander, Armani Santana, Denaya Tyrrell, Carl Thomas III, King, Khloe, Karter, Mazi, Khaza, Kaleb, Kali and Mason Wilson.
SPECIAL PETS: Momma had a soft spot for her furry grand dogs, treating each one like the valuable family member they were. Louis, Diesel, and Samaj will miss lying at her feet.
Momma will always be remembered for unwavering and unconditional love and the way that she spoke her mind. We’ll always imagine hearing her say, “My T.V. won’t change channels again,” one more time. We couldn’t have asked for a better mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and will miss momma every day. Her memory will live in the hearts of all those who loved her.
Cloggie was preceded in death by father, mother; husband; Jim Lee Wilson; brothers, Nathaniel Robinson and Willie Robinson; daughter, Lillian Francis Robinson; grandson, Nathaniel Wilson; and is survived by her brother, Merilyn Robinson of Natchitoches, LA.
