Cloyce Marie Elliott (“Ree” as she was called by her siblings) was the second daughter born to her late parents, Mrs. Mallie Elliott and Mr. Andrew Elliott on January 10, 1937.
She graduated Valedictorian from Goodwill High School, Washington, TX. Cloyce loved learning new things and also graduated from Irma Hughes Business School, Houston, TX. In addition, she took classes at Texas Southern University to enhanced her Computer, English and Typing skills. She retired from the United States Postal Service after over 40 years of service.
Flowers, plants, ceramics and dogs were her passion. Her beloved pet schnauzer, Jaxx was her joy. Jaxx was stolen from her yard and never returned. During her transition, she called out to Jaxx; but her most cherished possession was her “LOVE OF FAMILY;’” as she was exceedingly generous in helping whenever needed.
She confessed her belief in Christ at an early age. She attended Paul Felder A.M.E. Church and later was a member of Jones Chapel A.M.E. Church, Houston, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Andrew Elliott and three siblings, Andrew III, Lula, and Ernestine Elliott. Her memory is adored by: Beloved sister and brother Anna Elliott, Jarvis Elliott (Betty); special niece and nephew, Angela Elliott Gaines (Robert) and Jason Elliott; Darryl Elliott(Marsha); great nieces, great-great nieces & nephews and host of other relatives and friends.
