Constance Rose Green

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Constance Rose (Stanislawski) Green. Affectionately known as Connie, Constance Rose passed away on August 10, 2026, at the age of 93. Born in Chicago, Illinois on November 28, 1932, she was the daughter of Alex and Victoria Stanislawski. Connie married Bill Joe Green on her 21st birthday (November 28, 1953). Together they shared a cherished 72 years together, first living in Grand Junction, Michigan and then building their future lives together in Bangor, Michigan. They moved to Tomball, Texas in 1989 to be closer to their daughters, Susan Elizabeth (Gary) Dworaczyk and Caroline Anne (Michael) Miller and grandchildren.

A graduate of Western Michigan University (B.S.-1966 & M.A.-1971), Connie devoted her life to the field of education. She began her teaching career in 1954 in a one-room schoolhouse in Dayton (Wells Township), Michigan. Between 1953 and 1957 Mrs. Green taught grades K-2 in a two-room schoolhouse in Breedsville, Michigan. The majority of her career was spent in the Bangor Public School system (1966-1986), serving as an elementary educator, reading specialist, and building principal. The final semester of Mrs. Green’s life in education was as a high school reading teacher at Humble High School, teaching alongside her daughter, Susan, in 1988. Following her teaching career, Mrs. Green spent many hours recounting fond memories of former students and colleagues.

Constance Rose Green is survived by her daughters, Caroline and Susan, her sons-in-law, Michael and Gary, her grandchildren Victoria Rose Miller and Ryan William (Jessica) Dworaczyk, and great-grandchildren Logan, Autumn, Luke, and Ethan (Dworaczyk). Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Green, her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

A graveside service will be held on August 21, 2026, at 10:00 am at the Veterans National Cemetery in Houston, Texas, where Constance Rose will be interred alongside her beloved and devoted husband, Bill. Though she is no longer with us, Connie will be remembered for her fierce devotion to her family, her Polish heritage, her love of, knowledge, and travel, and the state of Michigan, which remained in her heart forever. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
