

Constantine S. Lazarides, 87, passed away on December 15. He will be greatly missed. Costa was predeceased by his son, Theodore C. Lazarides. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Helen, his daughter Cristina and husband David E. Hendrix, his daughter-in-law Patricia, his four granddaughters, Amy and husband Manish Sharma, Melissa and husband Nick Hamilton, Katie and Alexandra, three great-grandchildren, Madeleine, Alexander and Evelyn, and his sister Maria Palandjoglou.
Costa was an alumnus of Athens College. He spent WWII in occupied Greece, and worked as a translator and interpreter for the British Military Police Special Investigation Branch (SIB). After the war, he attended the University of Michigan, where he met his future wife, and obtained the degree of Mechanical Engineer. The couple later moved to Argentina where Costa worked in a leading textile mill, first as a draftsman and finally as president. They moved to Houston in 1982, where Costa established Memorial Builders. With his son Ted and his cousin and partner Andrés Palandjoglou, he built many beautiful homes in the Houston area. He was an avid golfer.
A visitation with the family will be on Thursday, December 20, 2012, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway. Funeral service will be on Friday, at 10:00 A.M., December 21, 2012 in the Chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
