Growing up as a young girl,I was always besides you .you taught me housework  laundry ironing clothes,cleaning house and marketing.In no tomezble yo assist you daily eorks.I was also the Yaya to my younger siblings.You showed me live,care and compassion I hot to college finish nursing in Cebuand in no time migrated to Americain  July of1974.I face alone the world of uncertainties I miss you all terribly .You taught me to face obstacles  with patience and determination  behumble and kind and never to forget the guidance  of Blessed Virgin Mary znd orsyers.These were the assets that was instilled in me . When you and Papa came 10 years later ,I could not ask for more.Jahan open his eyes into this world with LoloDoc and Lola Dear .the luckiest Apo .
You both had active retirement life here Papa as an Auditor in your civic and Mama's melodious singing social functions. Your life was full of Love ,Care to us your children  Lovingly Ninin#3

One of the greatest and most strongest woman  that I have ever known was Mama Elo.  (As we call her).
 She dearly loved her siblings. And one of them was my father,  Leocadio  "Cadie"  Valdeo Zayas. 
I remember every time naa c Tatay sa Biak House, she would say out loud with concern...
 "Leocadio  pamahaw na!"
I'm proud to say also that I am a Tatay's girl.  Everytime moadto mi ni Tatay sa Biak, hatagan dayon ko ni  Mama 
Elo ug kwarta! Which I'm always thankful and happy about. 
We will always be grateful to you Mama Elo . The wisdom and memories, you brought us will surely  leave an astonishing remarks in this world.
May you rest in peace and enjoy the company of your dearly beloved family in the kingdom of eternal life. We love you and will miss you forever.

Mothers are the most beautiful beings created on earth. When a baby learns to talk, the first syllable she/he utters is Ma.. Ma.. and why? Is it because a baby is starting to grasp the immensity of a mother's love? Yes! A mother is a lover. The love she gives to her child from pregnancy to the pains and difficulties of childbirth and throughout child -rearing whether physical, mental or emotional and even spiritual amount to self giving. This is what we call a Mother's LOVE. This love reflects God's love. We are encountering God in a mother.
So Mama, everytime we remember you, we feel so blessed to have you as our mother. What we are today is the sum total of the love and care you showered us with. You showed us, your children the rigt way of life.
Now that you are called home to Heaven, we know you are up there smiling down at us, that you will continue loving us your children, children in laws, your grand children and great grand children...
 praying for us. What a great prayer warrior we have up there!

Dear Docdocil Family, 
    The news of your mother's death on Thursday (August 8) has saddened me because I loved her so much. I want all of you to know that it has been a great priviledge to be the cardiologist, physician and friends to both of your parents ( Mama and Papa) for the last 30 years.
Through this time we have been through many ups and downs. Your loving care for both of your parents has always been a ray of sunshine  and so was your mother's 
smile until her last visit in May.
Although your mother is physically no longer with us, she will continue to live in our hearts.
" For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come" . As the Bible tells us. (Hebrew 13:14)

My favorite memory of Mama Elo was her smile and modesty. Although she was a person of very few words, she expressed her words through her warmth and facial expressions. We will miss her dearly and may she forever rest in internal peace with her husband and other departed family members.

Nang Oylo is the niece of my mother Sylvia Valdeo-Bagayna.
But she is younger by 3 years, so they are just like cousins to each other.
I admire these 2 ladies because they both shared  a lot of stories during WWII and recall pleasant memories. Then they burst into laugter, reminiscing their love stories. They are just like best of friends.  Both of them have a lot of children. 
Now with Nang Oylo has gone back to our Creator, Mama Elbing is the lone and oldest survivor of the Valdeo clan. She is now 92 years old.
This memory of picture was taken 10 years ago (2009)  in celebration of Nang Oylo's 85th birthday with the presence of my dearest mother.
Nang Oylo, may you be our guardian angel to the whole clan. You are always our inspiration. May GOD bless you and forever.

‘‘Twas one of the evenings of Christmas 2018 at Peanut’s house while you’re resting in bed that I had the chance to squeeze myself in and greet you a merry Christmas, and you hugged me in return. Right then I felt the love and warmth of a real mother in you. I will always cherish that moments mother dear. That fateful night that we’re trying our best to keep you alive, I was holding my tears while massaging your legs/feet to keep it warm until paramedics came. You were God’s faithful servant, now resting in His hands and in peace. 

This was taken when Lola Dear had visited West Covina, California in January of 2016. Miss and love you, Lola! Say hi to Lolo Doc for all of us!

Ma, you left us with so many beautiful memories . Although you are no longer with us,  we know you would always be watching us and would be on our side.

You showed us your total and unconditional love to each one of us  and this would be our guiding light. You did not divide your love amongst us, but you multiplied it thirteen times so each one of us would get our own one hundred percent  of your love. 
With you gone, I am scared to be now the “matriarch” of the family. Please guide me to be like you; so fair, so loving, so unconditional in your love to all the family members.

Lola Dear, the 2nd half of the couple that raised me when my parents were busy working. I was fortunate enough to be one of the only grandchildren to actually have Lola & Lolo raise me; I am forever grateful. Lola is the quintessential grandmother - sweet, gentle, and with an abundance of kisses and uninhibited love.  Remembering your lovely voice, you would sing having Lolo sitting at your side, and even after he passed, you continued to sing - to do what you love best.  We love you, Lola Dear.

Consuelo Zayas Docdocil,  affectionately known as Mama Elo to her 13 children & children-in-laws  and as Lola Dear to her 26 grandchildren, grandchildren-in-laws, & 11 great-grandchildren, was the matriarch of the Zayas-Docdocil Clan. 

She was a sweet and kindly lady who exuded a quiet strength and enjoyed singing and spending time with her family. While she may be physically gone now, her memories live on forever in our hearts, and we are truly grateful for everything she has done for our family.

We love you Lola Dear! Rest in Paradise, and send our love to Lolo Doc!

Dear Lola, 

I miss keeping you warm when you feel cold. I miss sitting next to you whenever you eat since I know I will get fed no matter how. Somehow it reminds me how my human parents took care of me as you took care of them. Feed me whenever I get hungry, put up with my annoying behavior and make me feel special even if I know I can be difficult.

You were the first person I met after I arrived here in the U.S. 4 years ago and I knew you were someone that my wife, Peanut, has always looked up and loved dearly. Listening to your loved ones' stories while you lived and even shortly after you passed has clearly made me see the person you really are to everyone- gentle, compassionate, strong and prayerful. A mother who always has only the best for her family and may we, your descendants, pass on your virtues to our children in the future. We will always remember you Lola Dear!

2019 Mother’s Day 
Miss you grandma, love you 

I remember asking GrandMa why she would always bring a cane whenever she went to the seniors center when I know she can walk perfectly fine around the house without one.

Her response was this. 

"This cane belongs to your GrandPa. I carry it around with me when I go places because it makes me feel like he is still with me." 

"Filipino-Time" was not in my grandma's vocabulary. I remember when she was still able to dress herself, she was always the first one by the door, ready to hop in the car and get to where she needs to be.
I can’t tell you how many times she made me call the cab driver Manuel to let him know she was ready for him. Although pick up time was around 9:30, Lola was ready by 8am.
 
Even though Lola Dear rarely got our names right in her last few years, there’s one name she never forgot. That’s the name of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! She was always in prayer mode. Not a single day went by without her praising and thanking God for the gift of life. 

I am confident that when Jesus comes to meet us in the clouds of heaven, He will say to her "Well done... My good and faithful servant." 

“The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”- Job 1:21 

You will be greatly missed Lola Dear!
