Consuelo "Connie" Ruiz

Consuelo Ruiz, 87, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026. Born on August 18, 1938, in Houston, Texas, she lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion to her family. A longtime parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Consuelo found great strength in her faith and in the community that remained an important part of her life.

She will be remembered for her warm heart, quiet strength, and the kindness she extended to everyone around her. She found joy in caring for her family, sharing her faith, and creating a home filled with love and comfort. Her gentle spirit and steady presence brought comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Consuelo was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert; her parents; and three siblings. She is lovingly remembered by her two children and their spouses, ten grandchildren and spouses, five step great grandchildren, two biological siblings, two foster siblings, and many extended family members and loved ones.

Though she is no longer with us, the love, wisdom, and compassion she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched.

May she rest in eternal peace and be welcomed into the loving arms of the Lord.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003, US, on May 14, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a Rosary at the same location on May 14, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

Visitation will also be held at St Patrick Catholic Church, 4918 Cochran St, Houston, Texas 77009, on May 15, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St Patrick Catholic Church, 4918 Cochran St, Houston, TX 77009, US, on May 15, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A Committal Service will take place at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, US, on May 15, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
