

Corbin Spitzer, 58, of Houston, passed away on Sunday, August 31 in Galveston, Texas. Corbin was born in Houston to Bill and Shirley Spitzer on January 14, 1956. He attended high school at Spring Woods High School, graduated in 1974, and played football at Lamar University. He helped establish Bill Spitzer & Associates in 1978, serving as President/CEO since 1994.
Corbin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time cooking for friends and family. He relished opportunities to make people laugh and loved being the life of the party. He also was an active member of St. Peter’s United Methodist Church for 32 years, and served on the Board of Trustees.
Corbin is preceded in death by his father, Bill Spitzer. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Patty; son, Connor, and his wife Jessica; daughter, Lexy, and her husband Alan Bumpass; mother, Shirley; brother, Cullen, and his wife Jodie; nieces, Jordan, and her husband Neil Simpson, Jensen, and Jaye; brother-in-law, Joe Persohn, and his wife Lenita; and nephews Joseph, Joshua, and Jason Persohn.
An honest man, a loving son and brother, a caring uncle, a loyal friend, a passionate father, and a wonderful husband, Corbin – and his larger than life heart – will always be remembered.
Visitation will take place on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, located on 13001 Katy Freeway in Houston, Texas, 77079. A Celebration of Corbin's Life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's United Methodist Church, located at 20775 Kingsland Blvd in Katy, Texas, 77450.
