CORINE MCWILLIAMS

Corine was born on November 12, 1935, in Bellville, Texas, into the union of Joe Sr. and Louise Wilson. On September 30, 2020, at the age of 84, she departed this life peacefully in her sleep and made her grand entrance into the arms of our Sovereign Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She accepted Christ at a very young age and was baptized at Greater New Hope Baptist Church in “Studewood” where she remained a faithful member for many years. She attended and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. On May 21, 1960, she married Clarence McWilliams and to this union, five boys were conceived. For many years, she worked for Medical Towers in the restaurant industry. Cooking was her passion and it showed in her delicious “macaroni salad”. She also had a passion for cross-word puzzles, where she spent hours working to solve the puzzles, even if it meant calling others in the late hours, asking “what is a word for this or that?”

She is preceded in death by her parents Joe Sr. and Louise Wilson; three brothers, RC, Lee Gussie, and Levi; two sisters, Rosie, and Thelma (Aunt Dear).

She leaves to cherish her memories to two brothers, Joe and Elma; five sons, Reginald (Beverly), Clarence III (Secunda), Christopher (Beverly), Rodney (Cheryl) , and Derrick (Shonda); four granddaughters, Ebony, Lacunda, Dishynue, and Destiny; eight grandsons, Derrick Jr, Darrian, Ryan, Clarence, Rodney Jr., Christopher, Jarves, Xavier, and Isaiah; six great-grandchildren, Davion, Heather, Lizzy, Jaiden, Malik and Lyric. Also, as well as the many others who affectionally called her mama and grandmama along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Paradise Funeral Home, 10401 W. Montgomery, Houston, Texas 77088. Pastor Craig Edgely will be officiating. Interment will follow at Paradise North Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
