Courtney Lynn Cotton, age 47 of Spring, Texas, passed away on January 26, 2025. She was born in Houston, Texas on July 24, 1977, to parents Charlie Edward Cotton Jr. and Linda Sue Cotton Hambrick. Courtney graduated from Klein Oak High School and worked as a clerical at Zachary Construction for 3 years. She enjoyed many activities in life, but playing poker had to be one of her favorites.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Chuck Cotton; father, Charlie E. Cotton Jr.; grandfather, Charlie Cotton Sr.; grandparents, Frank Horne and Agnes Horne; grandmother, Allene Finley; along with many aunts and uncles.
Courtney is survived by her son, Zachary Smith; mother, Linda Cotton Hambrick; aunt, Betty Lu Horne; uncle, Glen Horne; along with many cousins and friends.
A graveside service for Courtney will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
