

“Craig,” as he was known, was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on the 21st of February 1949, and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he graduated from Mary Carrol High School in 1967. He then went on to attend the University of Texas at Austin from where he graduated in 1971.
Craig enjoyed a lifelong career in the natural gas industry and, along with several partners, founded Southwest Energy, LP, a natural gas marketing company in Houston, in 2000.
Craig was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his weekends at the lake in Austin with friends and family. Craig had a zest for life and was always the life of the party.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Elias and Emil K. Elias; his brother, Raymon Elias; and sisters, Peggy Elias and Donna Haddox. He is survived by his sister, Marilyn Elias.
A memorial service and celebration of life is to be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 12th of December, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
