Rest in Peace my Sweet Uncle Crawford! Time has passed but the pain of your death has not gotten any easier. I miss you and love you very much!

Hey Crawford! Its your niece Jihan. Its almost your b-day and I just wanted to let you know that even though your in heaven now. Down here on earth we never have and never will forget about you. So until we meet again...Shine bright like a diamond;)!

Happy Birthday Uncle Crawford .... I started a Tribute Page for you on your Birthday .... June 28th.

Uncle Crawford .... I'm missing you like crazy and still wishing things had turned out differently.  You are truly gone but not forgotten.  I passed by the VA Hospital today and it was hard...I had a moment but must remember to be thankful for the time that I had with you. Time was not kind but I know that you're at peace and I'll see you on the other side. Love Always Your Niece

After the funeral I did not go to Contents not because I did not want to but because I could not handle it. We stayed at the cemetary ..... found Skip's marker and visited his grave site. Of course I wanted to know where your final resting place would be and spotted you about 4 rows to the left of Skip in U1-117.  How ironic.... you died 4 and a half months after Skip and you are buried right next to him. I'm sure that you guys are lighting up the sky.  Heaven got two good men. I will always love you. Today was your homegoing we celebrated your life and remembered how you touched our lifes. I know that you were watching from Heaven and had to be proud of your children. They are all I have to remember you by now and because I loved you and Cynthia so much I will remain close to them.  Your service was beautiful .... Baby J, Uncle Twin and Artemis spoke on your behalf.  Baby J was outstanding he said that you were lots of fun...you were and we will always love you.

Uncle Crawford tonight I prepare myself for your funeral. Saying goodbye is not easy but I can only say ...... I miss you....I Love You....Glad that I found you in the V.A. and got to see you for the first time on Jan. 13th, 2012 a few weeks after Uncle Skip's funeral. Thank God that I found you and for the last 4 1/2 months that we all got to spend with you. Love your niece

May 9th at 10:45PM .... Father God took you home, this I must accept and know that it marked a turning point in my life. I am grateful for my time with you and wish that time had been more kind. I asked you to show me a sign that you were at peace....a few days later while driving a yellow butterfly flew into my car and sat still on the arm rest ....this had to be you letting me know that you're free from all pain now. Butterfly's fly free fluttering in the wind with such beauty. An artist would choose to come back as a butterfly. The butterfly stayed in the car until I got home so I picked it up to release it but it fell to the ground and I took it inside where it lived for at least an hour then died standing up and remains in the same spot on the lotus crystal. Remember the lotus represents purity, joy and perfection. It symbolizes that perfection can come from impurity.

Rebirth

Stevie once said, "I'd never dream you'd leave in summer". Now the mood is somber, yet you departed in spring. Just like "Charles" to do his own thing. Sometimes the good ones have to go while the bad ones remain. When you think of it that way it's hard to stay sane. Like the bible says, "The meek shall inherit the earth". Then I know that Uncle Crawford is leaving his footprints all over the world right now. Peace isn't an easy thing to come by neither is freedom but when you're gone you get an abundance of both. Noone deserves it more than this gentle giant. Like a bird in the sky or a teardrop from a lonely eye. Even Angels learn how to fly so don't cry. Rejoice..... He's Free!!!

I'm missing you like crazy so use to seeing you and can't believe you're gone. Uncle Crawford thanks for everything! You truly were one of a kind. Your easy going spirit, movie star smile and vivid sense of humor lives on in my heart. Taken away too soon but my memories of you are here to stay. I'll see you on the other side....until then I take pleasure in knowing that you are watching over me. With Love

Uncle Crawford you are gone but not forgotten. You will live on in our memories forever.  I see you in your children and remember all the times we shared.  The last 4 1/2 months were hard but I saw the hope in your eyes and how hard you fought to live. God has taken you home to be reunited with Cynthia, Charlie, your Mom, Dad and brothers too.
