Cruzita Estrada Ortega, 81, passed away on August 31, 2026. Born on November 11, 1944, Cruzita lived with a steady devotion to what mattered most to her. That was her faith, family, and a life of purposeful love. She was a woman whose days were shaped by quiet strength and enduring commitment, and whose presence brought comfort and steadiness to those around her.

From her earliest years, Cruzita’s hopes were clear and heartfelt: to be married and to have children. In time, that dream became the center of her life’s work and her proudest accomplishment; raising five children with care, constancy, and deep devotion. The milestones of her family brought her particular joy and pride, including high school graduations, baptisms, weddings, and the blessing of grandchildren. Those were the moments that reflected the legacy she built through steadfast love and attention to what truly lasts.

Cruzita found genuine happiness in the company of family and friends, and laughter came most naturally when she was surrounded by those she loved. She carried a calm, faithful spirit into everyday life, expressed in the simple pleasures that filled her days: sewing, reading, and studying the Bible. Her fondness for the colors purple and yellow added brightness to her world and reflected the warmth she brought into the lives of others.

A dedicated servant of Jehovah, Cruzita was known for her commitment as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, including the special achievement of regular pioneering. She hoped others would come to know what Jehovah’s Kingdom will do for mankind, and she lived in a way that kept that hope close—through devotion, consistency, and a life guided by faith. More than anything, she loved her family, and she wished to be remembered as a loving wife and mother and as a devoted servant of Jehovah.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087, US, on September 7, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
