One of nine children, the family moved to Houston when
he was a child.
After earning his diploma from BC Elmore High School,
Curtis proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1976. Before his
deployment, he married Josephine Jones in June 1967.
He is survived by his sisters - Bettyann LaCour (Joe), Clementine J. Siner (Joe), and Sandra Chevalier - and his brother, PAP Jackson (Anna). His children, Anquanette (Nett) and Andrew Jackson, Roberta Franklin (Ann), Kevin Qualls, Shasta, Brandon (Cody), Shana, and Christopher Latin. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will forever carry a piece of him with them.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Napoleon and Ruby Jackson, his son, Andrew Jackson and his sisters Dora Jenkins, Deloris Jackson, and Vera Owens.
Curtis, you were deeply loved and will be forever missed.
