

Cynthia Anthaume Muths passed away on February 13, 2026, at the age of 73 at her long-time home in Royalwood, located in Houston, Texas. Born on November 16, 1952, in Bogalusa, Louisiana, to Octave Anthaume and Mary Ruth Winslow Anthaume, Cynthia was of French descent on her father's side.
Cynthia was an adventurous, hard-working, and beloved individual known for her faithful, brave, and generous nature. She was humorous, honest, kind-hearted, resilient, selfless, and deeply cherished by her family and friends.
Cynthia became a mother at the age of 16, pausing her education to care for her son, Bobby Daniel, and later welcoming another son, Damon Daniel. In 1978, Cynthia and her family moved to Houston, where she began her career at Brown and Root. With determination and support from her employer, she resumed her education, attending evening classes to earn a degree in Business Management.
She traveled the world as a manager for Brown and Root and later Halliburton, including a notable role as a Safety Manager in Iraq during the war, living on a military compound in a combat zone. After 35 years of dedicated service, Cynthia retired from Halliburton.
Cynthia met her husband, Craig, at Brown and Root in 1988, and they began their life together in 1992. They enjoyed 34 wonderful years of marriage. Cynthia loved the water, engaging in activities such as boating, crabbing, scuba diving, and enjoying the beach. She and Craig were members of the San Jacinto Chapter motorcycle club and cherished their travels, including time spent at their second home in Lake Belton.
In the community, Cynthia was well-known and respected, especially for her involvement in little league sports in Sheldon, TX, where she was a beloved figure among several generations of kids and neighbors.
Cynthia is survived by her husband, Craig; sons, Bobby Daniel (wife Susan) and Damon Daniel (wife Jennifer); grandchildren, Sevron Sr., Jordan, Chace, Mikah, Nicole, Wesley, Gavin, and Jaxon; great-grandchildren, Sevron Jr., Link, and Violet; siblings, Octave and Anna; several nieces, nephews, and friends; and her beloved cat, Rain.
Funeral services will be held at the American Heritage Funeral Home, located at 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A visitation is scheduled for February 25, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Celebration of Life will take place on February 26, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by the Committal Service at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
Cynthia's memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
