

Cynthia Durham Robertson, 68 years old, passed away peacefully after a two-year battle with cancer, entering eternal life with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 20, 2021. She will continue to live in the hearts and memories of the many people who loved her. Cynthia was born July 24, 1952 in Houston, Texas to Nathaniel Brown and Betty Durham Fowler; one of four siblings. Cynthia met her husband, George Franklin Robertson III, in The Woodlands, TX.
Cynthia graduated from S.P. Waltrip High School in 1970. She enjoyed a career in banking, spanning many years. Beginning as a teller, Cynthia progressed to retiring as a branch manager, with many positions in between.
Cynthia had great love for her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family both U.S. and abroad. One of her favorite memories was her engagement to George in San Francisco on the Golden Gate bridge, where they would revisit several times throughout their marriage. She and George would travel to Las Vegas, New York, Seattle, and New Orleans to create memories with their family that will last a lifetime.
She loved her many pets, music of all genres, Sudoku puzzles, watching tennis with her Mother and Sister over the years (Roger Federer was her favorite) and reality TV especially Dancing with the Stars. She enjoyed the performing arts; one of her favorite musical being The Phantom of the Opera. All of which brought her much joy.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents Nathaniel B. Fowler Sr and Betty Durham Pritchett, sister Jolly Ross Fowler, brother Nathaniel B. “Buzz” Fowler Jr and sister Deborah Durham Fowler.
Cynthia is survived by her husband of more than 20 years, George Robertson III, daughter Jolly Patricia (Tim) Brittain, son Ian Nathaniel (Heather) Walker, stepchildren Chad (Amanda) Robertson, Olivia (Jarrett) Southard, Frank (Abbey) Robertson, sister-in law Gerharda “Hedi” Fowler, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of loving friends.
A graveside service will be held at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway at 12:00 PM on August 20, 2021.
