Daisy Schubrick, age 88, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 10, 2018. She was born on June 30, 1930 in Seale, Texas, to the late Roy and Ivy Mathews. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family. She loved to fish, sew, embroidery, crocheting and baking. She is best known as making the best pies ever. She is preceded in death by her sister’s Mattie Patke and Laverne Phillips.

Survived by her children, Nora Galik and husband Gerald, Patricia Grochett and husband Harold and Edwin Schubrick and wife Joyce; 8 grandchildren, Anthony Galik and wife Teri, Angie Garza and husband Mark, Rodney Galik, Harold Grochett, Jr. and wife Tina, Steven Grochett and wife Darla, Teresa Schubrick, Justin Schubrick and Brandon Schubrick; 9 great grandchildren, Daniel and wife Suzie, Joseph, Nigel, Nicholas, Sidney, Cassie and partner Nikki, Jacob, Cameron, and Sammy; 2 great great grandchildren, Nathan and Noah; brothers, Hollis Mathews and wife Mary and Jim Mathews; sister, Catherine Maxwell.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2018 at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home, 1200 W 34th Street, Houston, TX 77018 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Rose Lane, Houston, Texas 77037 with the Interment following at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060.
