When i heard the news, I thought it was a huge joke, because that is something Dale would do. He is such a huge jokester. But when they told me again, it was a huge shocker ): Dale was a magnificent guy to have in your life. He will be dearly missed, but he WILL NEVER be forgotten! EVER!!! Dale, We love you so much and will forever and always. ):

I worked with Dale on the Beumont hurricane relief project. Many people have fine words and speeches about their walk with Jesus Christ, but rarely do they do anything. Dale was not like that. He was a doer. He was a great example to us all in his willingness to meet the needs of others, and provide them with a better place to live. He walked the talk and he will be sorely missed by his church family.

My dad called me tonight and told me about Dale Dunnam passing..  His father was scout leader and years passed.. I worked for Dale at his business of satalite business... So,  I knew all of the Dunnam's of Odessa.

What a sad day to hear of Dale's passing.  He was one of those guys you were blessed to call a friend.  
I worked with him at NDT Systems as did Lee Ragan.  What a great sense of humor and a joy to be around.  He will be remembered often by many.

Our deepest sympathy and prayers, I will always remember Dale he was a good loving husband and father. I will always remember the friendship we shared in the early 80's, Chris I knew your dad and mom before you were born. May the Lord strenghten and comort you and your family in the days to come. Dear Dunnam Family - I just now saw this about Dale and was so sad to hear the news. Dale was always so eager to lend a hand and so quick to make us laugh.  My brothers and I grew up with Dale (and Dean and Sissy) on 10th St and loved the Dunnams like family. So many memories; the truck stop, the plane, the bobcats, digging the well with the spoon, lots of laughter and some tears. Ruth, I wish I could be there with you today. . .I am there in thought. So long old friend. Dale & I had known each other since the mid 70's at Odessa College. We worked together for many years at NDT Systems and were in Civil Air Patrol together. In CAP is where I met the rest of Dales family and often flew with Dales Dad, Bill. His Mom, Ruth was also a good friend and we all felt the loss of Bill and Rynda. We'll miss you too Dale.. allways good for a laugh.

Dale's time, talent and treasure was offered freely to friends, family, his church and anyone who needed it.  We are all terribly sad because we won't see Dale again until we leave this Earth, but there is no doubt in my mind that Dale is on a street paved with gold and probably already has a hammer and a measuring tape.  God's promise is eternal life and Dale has earned it.  Rest in peace, Dale.

Dale will greatly be missed at NOV. I pray God gives you the stregnth you need to grieve with your loss. He was a GREAT guy.

God blessed the work of Dale's hands as he was always available to offer his talents in building projects to help others. Dale was the sort of person who will be missed by many people and remembered by many more.

I will keep with me the good stories and with Dale there were a lot.  One of my favorites was when I accidently left him 50 miles out in the woods during a fishing trip in Canada.  When I finally returned hours later I was expecting to be on the receiving end of a serious butt chewing.  Instead I found him calmly swapping stories with a local camper whom he had befriended while waiting for me to return.

Another good one will be when my 5yr old son and I were playing a video game while Dale was taking a nap on the couch.  My son turned to me and said "Daddy?  Is Mr. Dale snoring?  He’s loud!  I can't hear the TV!"

Yes indeed.  Dale will be very much missed!
