Dana Olsen, age 70, of Houston, Texas, passed away on January 19, 2026.
Dana was born in Beaumont, Texas and grew up in Houston, Texas, where he attended Spring Woods High School. He was happily married to his college sweetheart, Becky.Dana was a mechanical engineer by trade and by nature—a man who loved understanding how things worked and was never afraid to get his hands dirty. He was a proud graduate of Texas A&M University and remained a loyal Aggie throughout his life. Whether it was motorcycles, tractors, cars, or just about anything that needed fixing, Dana could usually be found tinkering, repairing, or improving something. He was always willing to lend a hand, offering his time, skills, and quiet competence to anyone who needed help.
Known for his great sense of humor, Dana rarely missed an opportunity to crack a joke or lighten the mood. His laughter and easygoing wit were hallmarks of his personality and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Above all else, Dana prioritized his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who took immense pride in the people he loved. His steady presence, practical wisdom, and warm heart formed the foundation of his family life.
Dana is survived by his wife of 48 years, Becky Olsen; his sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Chrystal Olsen and Kyle and Tiffany Olsen; and his grandchildren, Claire, Logan, Michael, Robert, and Matthew, who brought him great joy.He is also survived by much-loved niece and nephews, their families and several grand nieces and nephew.
