Daniel Ezekwesilu Akpa Jr.

Daniel Ezekwesilu Akpa Jr., aged 40, from Imeama in Mgbowo Local Government of Enugu State, passed away on June 17, 2025, in Houston, Texas. A Rosary and Wake Keep will be held from 7:00 pm to noon at Grand Affairs Ballroom, 9819 Bissonnet Street, Houston, TX, 77036, Suite D.

Funeral services will be held on August 16, 2025, at 1:00 pm at St. Albert Catholic Church, South Gessner, Houston, TX, officiated by the Parish Priest. Burial will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens, 2426 Cullen Blvd, Pearland, TX. Arrangements are by Garden Oaks Funeral Home.

Daniel was born in Houston, Texas, to Chief Daniel Umahi Sr. and Patricia Udemma Akpa on May 5, 1985. He attended Texas Southern University, where he graduated. Daniel married Ngozi Angel Agbaku on May 25, 2021, at the Justice of Peace, Precinct Two, Fort Bend County, Texas. He worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Nova Medical Center for a number of years, where he received an exemplary award for excellent patient care. He was also involved with the Knights of Columbus at St. Thomas More. Daniel was known for being a calm, collected, and kind man.

Daniel is survived by Ngozi Angel Agbaku, Ariana Amarachi Akpa, Benneth C. Akpa, Laura Ugonna Akpa, Monique Udemma Akpa, Chief Daniel Umahi Akpa Sr., and Lolo Patricia Akpa.
