Daniel earned a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M University, a foundation that reflected a steady dedication to hard work and purpose. A proud and devoted Aggies fan, he carried that loyalty with him throughout his life.
Those who knew Daniel will remember the many ways he filled his days and shared them with others—skiing, fly fishing, traveling, painting, following the stock market, and settling in to watch old movies. He also loved watching football games and took special joy in coaching young students in basketball and baseball, offering time, attention, and encouragement in ways that stayed with the families he touched.
Beloved by those closest to him, Daniel was known for giving advice—whether you wanted it or not—and for the steadfast presence he brought to the people he loved. Above all, he will be remembered as a great grandad and a devoted family man, leaving a legacy of care, constancy, and deep affection.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Nita Moriarty.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Moriarty, and his two daughters, Kelli Moriarty-Smith and Evelyn O'Krinsky.
