

Daniel Vera was a hard worker working as a laborer for many years then as a welder for Todd Shipyard and retired from this field. He was a member of the Armed Forces in the Army Division, 52nd Military Police Company, Camp Polk, Louisiana where he received an Honorable Discharge. He enjoyed working in his yard. He married Mary Magdalene Bryson in 1957 and was widowed in 1968 and never remarried again.
Daniel was predeceased by his wife, Mary Magdalene Vera; father, Jesus Vera; mother, Refugio Vera; sisters, Alice Garcia and Clara Garcia; and brothers, Moses Vera and Raymond Vera. He is survived by his only daughter, Sherry Vera; grandchildren, Yvette Scott, Stephanie Scott and Regina Scott. He has 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Visitation will be held from 5-8pm, Friday, May 15, 2015 at Pat H. Foley & Company Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 am, Saturday, May 16, 2015, also at Pat H. Foley & Company.
Following the service the family invites everyone to meet at Tony's Mexican Restaurant located at 2222 Ella Boulevard Houston, 77008.
