Daniel Martin Zepeda, age 79, of Meadows Place, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021. Daniel was born February 4, 1942.

He is preceded in death by his parents Arnold John Zepeda, Rebecca Salazar Zepeda and sister Diana Mitsakis. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Coy, three children, Daniel Jr. (Regina), Jennifer Scully (John) and Jeffrey (Chandra). Dan had 8 wonderful grandchildren, Madalyn, Daniel III, Jessica, Samantha, Maya, Jared, Logan, Miranda and two great granddaughters Keeleigh and Amberly in addition to several loving nephews, nieces and cousins.

Dan attended Roy Miller High School before joining the Air Force in 1959. After he was discharged from the Air Force and moved back to Corpus Christi he attended Del Mar College. Dan worked as an Engineering Designer with several engineering firms in Corpus Christi, Houston and Dallas for over 55 years until he retired from Bechtel Corporation in Houston. Dan loved playing golf, watching all the Astros games, going on cruises, poker night with the guys and traveling.

Dan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle.

The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital (stjude.org) and the Parkinson’s Foundation (Parkinson.org).

A visitation for Daniel will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home - Champions, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068. A celebration of life will occur Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068. A reception will occur Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:15 PM, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068. A committal service will occur Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 1:45 PM to 2:15 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A burial will occur at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038-1502.
