Dariela Elizabeth Cardona

Dariela Elizabeth Cardona, age 29, passed away on October 5, 2026. Born on September 18, 1997, Dariela was a dedicated student who consistently earned top grades and academic scholarships. She graduated from YES Prep North Central before continuing her education at the University of Houston, Cortiva Institute, and Paul Mitchell The School Houston (Class of 2024), where she studied nursing, massage therapy, and cosmetology.

A talented cosmetologist, Dariela had a genuine passion for beauty, wellness, and caring for others. Over her career, she worked with Chosen Agency, The Hive Styling Bar and Salon, and PHP Agency. Driven by a compassionate heart and a love for animals, she also devoted many years as a volunteer with the Houston Humane Society, beginning in 2012. Dariela was connected with St. Patrick Catholic Church and Iglesia Visión Global.

Above all, Dariela’s greatest passion in life was being a mother. She was deeply devoted to her children, who were the absolute center of her heart and world. She will be remembered for her determination, gentle heart, devotion to her sons, and the deep love she shared with her family and community.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, José Francisco Cardona Vázquez, Guadalupe Cardona, and María de los Ángeles Reyes Sital; and her aunt and uncle, Josefina Ortiz and Héctor Ortiz.

Dariela is survived by her beloved children, Armando Arguelles III (age 12) and Logan Magnus Gerbitz (age 5); her parents, Angélica Reyes Cardona and Jorge Antonio Cardona; her brother, Jorge Antonio Cardona Jr., and sister-in-law, Whitney Slatten; and her niece, Mary Belle Cardona. She also leaves behind her aunts Miriam, Lorena, and Yolanda; her uncles Juan Carlos, Sergio, José Ángel, Arnulfo, and Jesús; and over 45 cherished cousins: Gabriela, Marcela, Juan Carlos, Sergio Andrés, Anally, Antonio, Daniel, Álvaro, Raúl, Arely, Kristy, Luis, María de los Ángeles, Noel, Mila Noemi, Maité, Carolina, Victoria, Juanita Eunice, Jaime, Yamilex, Emiliano, Abigail, Gabriel, Neri, Cristian, Ana Miriam, Mario, Sebastián, Jaime, Adrián (Eli), Joanna, Luz Elena, Anabel, Daniela Alejandra, Liam, Alex, Carlos, Jesús, Viridiana, Martín, Lizeth, Fernanda, Nancy, Camila, and Ángel.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston TX 77003, on October 14, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with a Rosary Service at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003, on October 14, 2026, at 7:00 pm.

A Chapel Service will take place on October 15, 2026, at 10:00 am. Following the service, a funeral procession will depart at 11:30 am to Brookside Memorial Park for the interment. Committal Service will be held at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, on October 15, 2026, at 12:00 pm.

Final resting place is Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston.
