My condolences to the entire family.  I knew Rev./Dr. Darnell L.  Walker for many years.  His wife Mrs. Walker is such a jewel.  My classmate and friend Darcell would always keep me updated on the family.
Rev. Dr. Walker was a faithful member of the Executive Board  of the Prairie View A&M University Ministers' Conference.    He was honored as one of the Trail Braziers of the Conference.  He was always encouraging and wanted to do all he could to make sure the Ministers' Conference remain strong.     I will continue to lift up the family.  The Lord Shall Be Your Strength.

He  was   my Pastor in Brenham,Texas when I Lived there growing up.He was a  devoted man of God teaching and mentoring to us at Pleasant Grove UMC. My condolences to the Walker family in the loss of your love one. Rev Walker was a man of God and he lived his life daily in complete devotion to God. He willingly gave of himself to build up God’s kingdom. I along with my family and many others have been blessed through him. I thank God for his service and for the baptism of my children. Dr. Walker was a beloved colleague for many years. He had a smile on his face every time that I greeted him. He stood for truth, justice and love. Well done, good and faithful servant.

Dr. Walker was my Pastor @Love UMC.He was truly a spiritual leader that took pride in sheparding his sheep. We often talked about thee Prairie View A&M and our love for math. He also got me involved with the Ensemble theather as a volunteer. I stayed in touch with Dr. Walker and Daisy vía phone calls and cards. I  will always cherish the impact he had on my life and countless others. Rest in power, Dr. Walker
