Darrel Roger Garrelts, 75, of Houston, Texas passed away on Monday February 6, 2012. He was born on Saturday May 16, 1936 in Ayrshire, Iowa to Clarence and Anna Garrelts. Mr. Garrelts proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Darrel is survived by his wife, Sandy Garrelts; son, Jeff Garrelts, son, Dan Garrelts and his wife Cheryl, daughter, Kelly Johnson; grandchildren, Haley, Samuel, Reed, Carter, and Ethan Garrelts, Danielle McNe, and Madison Johnson; brothers, Kenny Garrelts and his wife JoAnn, Dave Garrelts and his wife JoAnn. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00pm on Thursday February 9, 2012 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home 13001 Katy freeway Houston, Texas 77079. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Friday February 10, 2012 in the Concordia Lutheran Church 4115 Blalock Rd. Houston, Texas 77080 with Rev. Russell A. Etzel officiating.
